Fantastic in every way. i had my nintendo switch repaired around a month ago and haven’t been able to put it down (hence why it’s taken a few months to write out the review). my data had been corrupted on my SD card and was told they would do whatever they could and couldn’t guarantee anything. i was worried but was reassured by the many positive reviews which kept me optimistic. the first time i had my switch booted up again, i was ecstatic to see that every bit of data had been recovered, and had saved so much of my active data that my game was still paused where i had previously left it! i can’t recommend any other repair shop more. support their small business and if anything ever needs a repair, theyre the place! ~ Memory K

Old Town Tech is the epitome of small business providing quality service in a timely manner. Ben is the owner and operator and is proficient in every avenue of tech repair. I dropped my water damaged phone off and the same day he was able to save the data from it and transfer to another phone so I didn’t lose all of my pictures. (This was a service that no other phone repair store would have been able to do) He provided a full report describing every step he made in his process of repairing my phone to retrieve the data, which is very useful if you need to report it to insurance. My iPhone 14 Pro Max had a broken back glass and a battery that wouldn’t hold a charge. It would randomly restart any time it fell under a 70% charge, and this is my primary, personal phone. I wanted OEM parts, to avoid any issues with the OS and original features, and possibly to trade-in if I choose not to keep it (great phone, and properly repaired, so I’ll likely keep it now). Within a few hours, the phone is repaired with the requested OEM parts, and I’m provided the invoice for an insurance claim as I requested. They even stayed open a few extra minutes as I called them On my way there to check at what time they closed, and I was going to arrive just at closing. ~ K F

haven’t been able to use my phone for a couple of weeks due to having a broken screen. Hit up Ben from Old Town Tech & he was able to get me ALL of the answers I needed regarding replacement, and get it all done within the same day of the part arriving to his shop. Absolutely top tier service, extremely personable and professional, and he helped me resolve an issue that I was very stressed about within hardly any time, for the best possible price. 2nd Great Experience w/ the team. The first time, they quickly diagnosed and fixed an issue w/ my desktop that was causing to overheat after it had spent weeks at another area shop. The 2nd was today where my cell phone (11 Pro Max) was not connecting via the Lightning port. They quickly cleaned the port and it was working again reliably. I had been concerned that the port was damaged and needed replacing (or I’d need a new phone). At no charge, they cleaned it and it’s now working 4.0 again. I most strongly recommend going to First Coast Tech for your computer and cell phone repair needs. These guys are outstanding!! ~ Alex B

I’m writing as a repair shop of 23 years reviewing other shops that stand out. Ben is one of the youngest yet notably more talented in the phone repair arena. Most repair shops will be in business for decades and never consider the intricacies of micro soldering. Not the case with Ben at old town tech. The best thing I like about Ben is that he is humble about his capabilities. He is not afraid to reach out to other industry experts, like myself for help and guidance. A lot of time repair shops that has been around for too long believe that they know everything already and speak rudely to their clients. Ben is transparent and honest with his work. The aura is 80s rock and he serves beverages and snacks during the repairs. His biggest weakness is that he doesn’t know what his work is worth and thus bills at a low rate that would be not be sustainable long term. If the price seems a little bit low, insist on leaving a tip to help this gentleman out. ~ luxse k

Ben is an absolute pleasure to work with he assisted my son who is 14 had a gaming pc that kept power cycling on and off he listen to my son spoke his language told him the problem ordered the parts in 3 days he was up and running. This when it comes to computer repair upgrades even new build this is your man. He also repairs all cell phones laptops Mac or pc and AirPads. Just walked into First Coast Tech (no appointment needed) and Sterling did a fantastic job assisting me with my wife's laptop. Her WiFi icon disappeared recently from the taskbar, but Sterling knew exactly how to fix it. He diagnosed and corrected the issue in under 5 minutes. He also did this free of cost because it was an easy fix. I would have gladly paid him if he had asked because of his quick and courteous service! P.S. - Candidly, I contacted uBreakiFix to check the issue and they were going to take a non-refundable $60 fee to just send it into their depot to get the laptop checked out, and then charge more when they figured out the solution. The "tech" guy at the front didn't even look at the laptop and even said, "you're looking through it faster than I could". I mean, I'm good with computers, but if the person who is supposed to help fix my laptop is less confident than me, that's a red flag! He even tried to rope me into a subscription for $30/month to handle any other electronics issues. No thank you! ~ Yaseen N

Went into ask Mr. Feldman some questions about choosing a the right computer for my needs and I was blown away by his knowledge and customer service. He wasn’t pushy at all and he was able to put me in the right laptop for me (which was cheaper than the one I was thinking about getting). Ben also noticed my daughter having an issue with the update of her phone and offered to take a look. It was a good thing he did because her phone was frozen and he fixed it for her. Great job, Ben. This guy is the real deal. He meets you when it's convenient for the customer and talks through all the options available without hiding anything. I was looking for trustworthy, honest, and transparent and took a chance but when I met him and heard my options, I appreciated his honesty about the situation my computer was having. I had such a great experience with Stuart and Taylor. Such fast and competent service! My old laptop was about to die and I wanted to transfer everything to my new one. They were able to do that in one day and at a great price. I even had a question about something when I was home 2 days later, called them and they helped me over the phone, and they were so nice about it. I'm so glad I found these guys! I had a 5000.00 facial machine that was broken due to a busted toggle switch and fallen screen. They not only fixed the toggle switch but put a rubber barrier to protect it from further damage and lifted the screen to its proper position. Highly impressed at how fast they did it ! When my laptop died due to a spill on Thanksgiving Day, Ben responded to my call. He came to my house, explained what I was facing in clear concise language. I'm not tech savvy and Ben can tell that. Fast, affordable, friendly service. They have coffee and tea. I feel like I got a new phone with all the keys working properly with single touch. I went to another store and they charged me $30 more to replace the screen and I would have to repeatedly tap certain numbers and letters to get it to type. Please don’t waste your time elsewhere, like I did. Just come here. They can replace it in under 10 minutes. ~ Zehra C

I called the day before dropping my ipad. I got my ipad fixed yesterday. Service was quick and very professional. Its like magical. The guys were so friendly and ready to help. Ben was professional and knowledgeable! He fixed my old laptop and basically made a slow moving computer to a super laptop at a very reasonable price and saved my data and me from buying a new computer. He also fixed the charging port on my phone that refused to charge and like my phone Ben refused to charge for this service because he just cleaned it and didn't have to replace anything. Came in on a Sunday morning to see if they could help me with my phone. From my initial research, I thought they might need to take apart my phone to fix the charge input as it was not plugging into any cables. Didn’t need to do that at all, they just cleaned it out and didn’t charge. Super fast, less than a minute and expected it to be a lot longer and expensive fix. Great service! I had a good experience with this technician but as soon as I got back to the facility. I noticed the screen had a small crack, causing my phone to act all weird and constantly adjusting the volumes. Of the sound speaker without pressing the buttons is my only issue I have with it. I don't know if. Outstanding customer service. Ben was fantastic! I took my PC in for a repair and Ben was able to determine the problem along with some proposed solutions. As it turned out, my PC was unable to be recovered and so I purchased a new one from them. Ben was extremely attentive to every detail of my purchase. I came in thinking I needed my charge port replaced. I was fully prepared to pay whatever it cost without asking any questions. The team there was extremely friendly and honest and said that they would see if they could clean it first. They cleaned it out and turned out I didn’t need to replace it at all. The absolute best repair shop in all of Florida. I had taken my daughter’s iPad to the UbreakIfix in orange park and they did not install the home button properly which ultimately broke the LCD. Thankfully I found Ben at Old Town Tech. He gave us a great price and had it ready to go quicker than any repair shop. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. 10/10 would use again. ~ decaf 1
